Working with Clave de Sur was incredible. A month was far too little time, but that’s all I was able to do. Despite that, they made sure my experience was safe and comfortable. The children were amazing to work with and I enjoyed seeing them explore acting. The great thing about Clave de Sur is that they have so many different departments you can work in–not just theater. The environment is so welcoming (and there’s even this precious princess cat that lives in the building). Coworkers are like friends. Additionally, the host family I had the pleasure of staying with were so accommodating and gave me an unforgettable experience. The connections you make in Guasmo Sur through Clave de Sur are truly unforgettable. Ana was always responsive and answered any questions I had quickly and confidently. Again, the only thing I would change is the length of time I stayed. The issue of safety is discussed openly and I always felt secure because of those working at Clave de Sur and my host family. I got the opportunity to truly get to know Guayaquil and explore other parts of Ecuador as well. This was the best experience of my college career.
